Subdividing is the process by which the plan of your land is divided into separate lots and new deposited plans or strata plans are registered with Lands NSW.
Partition is the process of dividing ownership of the new lots created by subdivision.
This requires a Deed of Partition to set out the agreement between the different parties as to who pays what costs and who gets what proportion of the new lots.
Stamp Duty may be due on Partition
