  • say no to domestic violence,
  • reduce risk of harm from domestic violence; and
  • save lives.

Our Founder, Tanya Allen has been close friends with Marys House Services CEO, Yvette Vignando, for over 20 years. From Law School to now, Tanya and Yvette have worked and walked side by side to raise awareness and support for women and children in need. Property Transferred Debt

Sexually Transmitted Debt!

You’re in a married or a de facto relationship with someone fabulous. They have a flash new car, take you on weekends away in the Whitsundays, and they are always splashing the cash out with friends and family!  You think they have a great job, lots of promotions and bonuses!

But one day you see the bank statement and realise that all that spending has been funded by YOUR joint credit cards or mortgage! their spending has become your debt too. SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DEBT!

Property Transmitted Debt

You can’t wait to get a foot on the property ladder because all property is good value. All property goes up. Doesn’t it?

But then you find out that the unit you just bought has thousands of dollars in special levies due in 30 days.

Turns out the vendor was on the strata committee and knew there were costly works needed, so they sold before those costs were levied.

That cut price conveyancer that simply transferred the property for the lowest price and didn’t guide you through a full due diligence, doesn’t seem like a great idea anymore.

Property Transmitted Debt

Or maybe the vendor finds out that they have termites, so they put the property on the market and get a cheap building and pest report with lots of exclusions.

You buy the property and get the wonderful surprise of finding out the walls are going to fall in unless you pay thousands to keep them standing!

Property Transmitted Debt

Avoid Property Transmitted Debt. Do your due diligence with Can Do Conveyancing.

Can Do Conveyancing can review strata report and look for signs of impeding special levies.

Can Do Conveyancing can arrange your own pest inspection with full thermal imaging. Avoid the termite teeth tax.
